hi GUYS and GALZ!!!
Happy New Year... though i may be 24hours late... well almost 48 already... hee...
anyway New Year Resolution... as many people have posted on their blog i will follow the croud... :P
1. To do my best as i enter NS and eventually the Air Force which will be my career for the next 12 years at least.
2. To be able to enforce a discipline in myself that i once had in secondary school... mental and physical discipline that earned me my various achievements in secondary school
3. To strengthen and enlarge my circle of friends/brothers/sisters.
4. To give my 100% in anything i do, and to give a 110% in something i have done a 100% before... in other words, to try and surpass my standards.
5. To help out my friends whenever i can, however i can. (beats helping victims of disasters where your donation may probably be pilfered by some government official)
6. Not fall prey to drugs/smoking/alcoholic drinks.
7. To honour and cherish my ohime if she does come this year..
8. To render service back to my alma mater for the many years of knowledge/experience/pain/joys she has given to me
yesh these are the lucky 8 New Year Resolutions i hereby declare to all my readers... as i have prayed to god at the turn of the year. (this one is a delay telecast :P) anyway... some of them you may have read before cause some of these resolutions are my own pillars that have guided me for many years.. some of them we may have talked about it before or thanks to someone has influenced me to make such a resolution.
anyway some inspirations for these include a card that was sent from someone a couple of years back with the message "after every task, ask yourself is this your best?" it was very inspirational for me as i knew that yes it is a good feeling when you know you've done your best.. but for some things in life that i'm better at, perhaps you can call it my speciality... i will give it a 110% to prove that i can beat my past standard. and i can say i have done that before. one example being a PSLE student with score 188 and leaving outram with 11 points and a top O level student. another example are my various powerpoint presentations... in 2000 i did a scout presentation that used mp3s to add emotion and a sense of grandeur to it... now all my presentations have some form of music to add that mood and i always make it a habit to surpass the standard established by the previous one... and i just broke an old standard today. ^_^
another inspiration was myself in secondary school days... (oki so i find my old self an idol..) well i was very focussed and disciplined and took work very seriously... but as perfect as it sounds it compromised my social life... sad to say i know i could have enjoyed the company of my friends a lot more but was too uptight to notice it. kudos to JC life and emily that helped me to "bloom"... so now with a more open mindset, i want to regain some degree of my focussed and disciplined mentality so that i can work harder. zhi kai read my palm and said i tend to waste a lot of energy on redundant work. so yahz.. inspiration i guess ^_^
hmmm... i think some of you readers may have already noticed one of my resolutions being practiced already. that is to help out my friends whenever/however. yeapz... i'm now helping zhao yuan in her project about china's economy since i did a little assignment on that in JC. and i just finished helping chee han today with a restoration of my "who wants to be a millionaire" which i did in sec 4. tying in with my other resolution, i smashed down the standard of my old game with a new RENEWED & REVAMPED 2005 Version of my game. took me some 19hours to complete. about 35slides with more than 6 different songs used and its fully interactive. one of chee han's group members didn't even know it was a powerpoint presentation. :P i'm extending my helping hand to any friends in need of help for something that i can help in.
hot topic... the mysterious and never ending wonder of my experience with girls... something i think i've never been able to handle too well.. though i can analyse the chemistry relatively well... i often lose focus when it comes to my own emotions and its true that i was and most certainly going at a 100% for her at one point in time... but as soon as things turned against me that required me to fight for her heart, no matter how small the chance, and i knew that it would make her unhappy... i would just "chicken" out.. lack of desire maybe? or knightly respect? or cowardly retreat? it can certainly be seen as anyone of this... but i guess i tell myself that i'm just not ready yet or she won't be happy with me and respectfully bow down... heck the devotion was there that i folded 1000 triangle pieces to build a swan for that someone for valentines day... but didn't cause that internet website instructions were full of sh*t... so i wasted 1000pieces of paper... lol... oh wellz... my ohime that i admired/cherished/loved but was never returned now has no more place in my brain (logic) but has been given a nice spot in my heart (emotion)... in a colloquial explanation... this spot is technically freehold... not 99 year govt policy... so if u ever do find out who you are... rest assured u will have my loyalty and my heart when the time finally comes... but as for now... for the year 2005.. i offically declare that i have wiped the slate clean and have no ohime's in my mind... unless i get charmed by her again... :P
anyway this pillar of my life is no joke and its does make me like a man of the past... i'm not ashamed of it... i am proud to practice principles such as strength, honour and excellence... i will not result in picking girls in orchard.. like those ah pek going "zuuu zuuuu" in the middle of ochard road. its my greatest disadvantage... but also my greatest advantage at the same time...... go figure ya?
yeapz.. anyway was watching this j-drama called shotgun marriage and picked up this line... though not appropriate to my exact situation now... but its something a single guy had mentioned in the show that from what i see is a character that goes by the same principles as i do... so just for reading material here it is:
"Kyushuu men should love and treat women well. Unless you love her truly and your relationship has come to that stage, and unless you're certain she's the one for you, don't sleep with her. Never take advantage of women. There's only one woman that you will love. That woman is your wife. You must love her forever." --- shotgun marriage
sounds a bit extreme right? yahz... cause it was said to him by his grandfather before he died.. so maybe a little too kua zang lor... hee.. but yeapz.. thats up to you guys to read reflect and apply... cause hai.... i see some girls get totally shattered when the guy breaks up.. especially for another girl.... at least if they don't click then its ok... but .... hai... nvm... i've got no experience on the dynamics of a breakup... so i have no right to judge it...
yeapz... long entry... a new blog will be opened soon that will be the story of my new phone... the mitsubishi m900 ^_^ see ah... got his own blog also... ^_^
good day
