woah... today was really an interesting day.... recovered from my mild dose of airsickness... and had a flight today too... woah song bo.... flew yesterday and now today fly also... shiok...

flew with Oscar Mike today. profile short field takeoff and landing... what is short field take off and landing you say? read the next paragraph to find out or skip the next one yea?

shortfield take off is basically configuring the aircraft to take off in the shortest possible space available... this can be due to short runways, or poorly maintained runways (protect the landing gear), or u just wanna take off really fast! lol... a piper warrior is designed to take off in 1655ft of runway... thats about maybe... 500-600metres.. landing is 600 feet... or about 200metres...

so today i had a really good flight... really really good one... probably the best i had in 2 years... i felt really comfortable flying and my landings were all pretty ok... cause SF landings have to be firm so u can brake almost immediately... and eventually i got so smooth at doing short field... then when i landed... brake immediately.... almost come to a stop i power up a bit, bring up the flaps to 25 degrees and power up.... and vrooooommm... i'm rollin on the runway for takeoff...

solo was even more fun... well not really... i was more excited... cause the aircraft is in my hands... so i tried pushing some limits of the aircraft... see how fast i can stop... but then i think my aircraft main wheels didn't fully grip the runway yet... so when i braked can feel the aircraft bouncing gently on the ground... lol.. then braked really hard and heard the ususal screeching sound... meaning the wheels are starting to jam up... yahz... fun!!! lol.... and also cause i really felt a sense of achievement flying accurately... its the little things in life that make me happy...

oh yah!!! i did my fav landing style today... haha... main wheels touchdown.... then kept the nose up.... then a gentle touchdown.... oh yea baby... that felt good.....

yahz... anyway... chatting a lot today so kinda have to stop... my fingers are starting to hurt... dunno whyz... lol.... but yahz.... blogging block...
