taken for a ride.

went back to work today to do some clearance packing with me clothes to wear for tonight's outing with her. but mind u i was going to work when i'm on leave. to do some clearance of course. =) expected it to last till 12-ish... but instead it lasted till 4! can you freaking believe it?

went to one part of paya lebar and got some signatures... after that we went to the air base to get more signatures... then they said "oh we're closed. (11.30am) come back at 2.30pm." i'm like what the f*ck!!! you have gotta be kidding me... ok then we head to another place. "sorry sir, we're closed for lunch come back at 1pm" omg... so after cursing and swearing we left for lunch.

lunch chicken rice.

after that it was like 1-ish like that. so we went the get the 1pm one done. within 10mins it was finished. *rolls eyes... went to do sports rims for kohx new jazz. *drools... all getting new car... who's going overseas? lol... maybe me? haha... yeah USA!

then we went back at 2.35pm... went there and we got ANOTHER clearance form. this form was their internal form. it was a JOKE. its like the unit has like 4 workers. all 4 of them gotta sign and they all work in the same room. just that they maybe around the base. and the weirdest thing is that we've never been to that place before. bloody hell... then we asked this guy. "we're looking for Mr. R (his colleage) where can i find him?"

"he's in paya lebar." - ok........ paya lebar base is almost 4% of the island of singapore. so how can i find him?

"dunno. he should be around la" - ok.... you're his bloody fu*king colleage how can u not know where is he? can you call him for us?

"oh reception in the base very bad... think he cannot get one" - ok..... granted. PERHAPS the reception is bad. can you pass me his number?

"ok can." - ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring... "hello?" WHAT THE POS (piece of shit) FU*K! recpetion poor... ok maybe he's not in paya lebar. can i check are you near (this place) ?

"yah about 10mins away. i'm in the fire station..." wow... and for a moment i was doubting Singtel / M1 / Starhub. woooo...... bad reception indeed... then i speak to him... can we get signatures from you for clearance?

"oh yah you ask the guy to sign for me" - nb... lazy POS.

the case of the RED TAPE

so we're supposed to draw our swords from them. we even have a letter to state that we need this equipment drawn from you. it was basically an e-mail from person A (our side) requesting to person B (their boss) us to draw our swords and other stuff. Then Person B writes to Person A that items A,B, (omitting the sword) is approved. the e-mail is like "approved. draw item A from Person X, draw item B from Person Y" then with the swords being ommited, we were passed the conversation (e-mail) between A-B and B-A in a single piece of paper.

so.... we passed the paper (which is like an official document) to Person Y. he said ... "sorry cannot draw. cause the e-mail say Person A REQUEST from my boss (Person B) to draw item A, B, C. but to APPROVAL from my boss only for A and B. nothing said about C. i cannot do it. i need in black and white" (for one moment i wanted to laugh cause it was straight out of a movie. forgot the name. jack neo one la... then suddenly i snapped again... only in my mind la... it roughly went like "what the fu*k man.... you have gotta be fu*king shitting me. i bloody wait from 11.30 to 2.30 wasintg 3 hours of my leave doing shit! cancelled my appointment with my insurance agent and you fu*king tell me this. and i said.... "you mean it cannot be done? but my instructions were to draw these now."

then leave it to my admin clerk. the voice that sounds hoarse and sharp and powerful. think a chicken with a sore throat cookatooing (u know the sound they make) and with the power of a lion's roar. thats her. sound fierce la to anyone but us. so she talk to him. not bad... managed to piss him off. LOL!!! and my phone wanna die ah... he speaking to her i can hear what she's saying from a standing position from him. pity him. oh well... then after that he just gave up. "sorry i cannot do anything i pass you back to him" and then phone is passed back to me.... with her still 'advising' him what to do... lol.... so problem not solved.

so rest of admin is kinda settled. so i cancelled my insurance appointment but luckily made it for the other one. heng ah... then got good car lobang. haha... gonna see tomorrow. then my date was cancelled. again... yah tell me about it. i'm growing more and more heavy hearted. but i tell myself i must perservere because i want to give us both the chance and now that i'm the one that's more free. i try and understand her position and accept it for what is happening.
