hiz....

the constant call to blog has been ringing in my ears for the past few days... the guilt i feel when i see the counter increasing more than proportionately to my blog entries.... to see that the last post has been from the last ice age...

whats been happening in my life these few days? (as if eveyone would be interested... lol)

mini super computer
hmmm... got some new upgrades for my com yea! got myself a USB 2.0 chip!!! after being mistakenly being sold a Firewire chip instead. blur? thats how i ended up being... since i've never seen a USB 2.0 port in my life... so i was looking at this firewire chip and trying to see if part of the port was collapsable so that it can accept a USB1.1 port... lol... call me a magician if i could somehow fix a 1.1 wire into a firewire port.... so obviously i got it changed and go myself the right stuff..

got this cute little fan for my com too... ehz.... rephrase... got this cute little fan for me powered by my com... its so small..... well compared to my industrial fan and those big big standing fans... (love those high powered babies) its like more effective than an aircon, assuming its a cool day bahz... some statistics here... ehz.... one aircon unit operating for 10hours a day costs something like $50 a month compared to a standing fan operating the same amont of time costs about $2-10... so its like wow... USB powered fan... haha.... so now i get concentrated wind when i'm at the com.. haha..... and its my favourite colour!!! green!!!

hmmm... saw this kid got knocked down recently... if i'm not wrong is henderson secondary school sec 1 or 2... din see the actually takedown (haha kalai....) but i did see everything after that.... or at least for another 5mins... from what i could draw, he was running across the road (traffic junction) when the green man was blinking and here comes this lorry moving at high speed making a sharp turn to the left hit the kid with the right of his lorry.... yes LORRY! his whole driver's window (not the sideview mirror) smashed into fine glass all over the road... the kid... well lookeed like he was suntanning butt naked (only with his clothes on that is...) and resting his face down in his bag...

careful observation saw me noticing only minor abbrations on his right knee... probably landed chest first... would have created a runway if it was a girl... :P... (oki pardon the sarcastic and sexual humour... more to be explained later) and the few seconds that saw him raising his head (oh he's alive!!! after getting hit by a lorry... i'm really surprised...)... his right side of the face (the only side i saw) was bleeding like the river thames (??) talking about having a "bloody headache" this jjust takes the money...

okok... i'm not some typical singaporean who just stood there and watched... was seated in my bus heading home... reason why i saw so much of it? well long story short, where he was lying (on the road, not grave) was blocking the bus's ability to turn right and continue its journey... so the driver also blur blur...

new gal on the block (no emily is not what u think it is...)
okiz... oh ya!!! mitsubishi is going to release 4 new mobile phones soon... probably gonna release it in singapore in december.. so all ye people looking at new handphones.... look out for the 4 new mitsubishi models... the M520, M760, M800 and M900... the last being my baby.... been eyeing the smooth curves and her overall package all so very carefully, looking at every little detail.. looking at how she feels around my hands... we'll share many stories with each other.. she'll listen to my problems and my joys... she be the perfect gal to talk to... she even likes to talk to other gals from other countries... gals like samsung, motorola and a few others... though i hear she kinda hates nokia... haha something we have in common... ah..... heaven....

Bird or fish?
hmmmm.... oh ..... went for a pressure chamber test under the RSAF to further my application as a pilot. thinking that the NDU (naval diving unit) had a pressure chamber test as well... that one was submerging us to about 10m underwater... probably at about 2 metres a minute.... sounds quite fast right? no? you try swimming downwards tthat fast la! haha... and being squashed in that toopid chamber the size of a queen sized bed with 9 other guys and we're all like in our swimming trunks only..... god... and it was like 19deg cel inside.... i was like freezing inside...

back to RSAF, with that expierence with NDU i scrutinized every single word in the appointment letter stating whether i must bring swimming trunks... and the answer was no... fearing the worst i went down to SAF aeromedical centre and was greeted by this room the size of 2 badminton courts and about 15metres high... scientifically this pressure chamber is called the hybobaric chamber (something like that...) and this chamber was probably the size of a medium sized bus. every guinea pig (thats me) gets a individual seat, control panel (with WORKING BUTTONS!!!! batteries not included... cause they use AC power dumbo... :P) similar to the oxygen panel in a F-16, one could turn on 100% oxygen to the oxygen mask (which all of us got one...) yah in case you were wondering our air is not 100% oxygen, its actually 21% oxygen and when u breathe out, there's still a good 15% oxygen in that air... so people don't do the "kiss of life" and blow for fun ok? haha... oh... (no pun intended)

what happened? well in a 15seater room... 2 out of 4 of the guinea pigs went in.. i got seat number 11... lol... talk about putting our tax money to good use... anyway we ascended to 10,000feet at 4000ft per minute... and for those YFC fanatics.... no our piper warrior doesn't climb that fast... coming down to 2000 ft, we feel the power of a jet by climbing to 18000ft at the rate of 8000ft a minute... wow... what a rush... oh... interesting fact to know, commercial aircrafts set their pressurized cabin at 18000 ft while cruising at about 30000ft maybe? oki... this one i'm not sure.... :P....

a surprise for 2T11?
hmmm... yupz... making plans to do something special for the class of 2T11... and all the other colourful characters that make 2T11 a more interesting place... pork porridge anyone? haha... ok ok..... no confirmation yet... but it looks promising... ^_^ technically have about 5months to work on it.... ok lahz.... so what if that fat man took 3 years to film the lord of the rings? ii'm way out of his league.... haha... nothing finalised yet... but i'm looking at a project team... with artists, (hint hint...) script writers, and of course... lots of guidebooks.. u know like 'em dummies books...

A levels episode I: The pimple menace
before we had the epic battles, before the lights went out and we had to use flashing lights that go "wooong wooong" to prove our point, before we even thought of having computers to pester us by making retarded noises... there was THE PIMPLE menace....

yesh.... before all those, we are in the past or shall we say the present for us 21st century people... where people with "what the f*ck" hairstyles... and aren't afraid of the fact that piercing our body won't burst our bubble.... and the ever present few who like to vandalise other people's body... (ahem..... :P) ah... we are in a time so meaningful... that we don't call our exams "THE IMPERIAL EXAM" anymore.... we just give it any letter from the alphabet with the fact that A seems to be first and call it A level exam.... (read both ways... NO!!! not "exam level A".... A level exam and a level exam) quite a lazy bunch of people judging from the fact that our prestigious education system has sent all their drones to this exam.... even more ironic fact is that they leave someone who is balding in charge... hmmmm... anyway...

wat am i driving at? if u were thinking that names like hitler, stalin, mussolini, napoleon, gustav stresseman, tsar nicholas II, aung san, saya san, chan mali chan, surkano, shakespeare, friel, anotony, cleo and a whole lot of other people's name becomes the talk of town? well.... aside from stating the OBVIOUS!!!, i'd like to bring up the little revolution happening beside the inter-galactic war that is happening... the PIMPLE MENACE!!!

its a known fact.... pimples are menacing the general public all over right now...... a testimony to the studious singaporean... my god.... its like some plague that'll leave japanese students wondering what pox came to us singaporeans this time.... (pok pok keh!!! ... none the less a valiant impersonation of a chicken with a nasal problem) no matter how many facial wash bottles lost to the menace and the many lemons who were brutally sliced for no good reason and the many many weird moments when the mirror on the wall was not used to see who was the fairest of them all... for the mirror would never dare to comment for it would definitely lament, perhaps thats why it never talks...

the battle is sadly not over when we finally see one pimple biting the dust... for we will never know if the one we killed was the master or the student...... hmmm..... but its good to know that amidst the patriarcal society we live in, the pimple menace does introduce some interesting reforms and that is there is no gender discrimination... male and female alike share the same battlefield, though we men take the beating and the shelling more often... ah.... a good battle this is...
