Tuesday the 23rd of December 2003.

today is a significant day in my flying experience... why? cause today is my first solo date. keepin it short... i will fly alone... with no instructor on board. haha though the line and some of my friends (whom i'm very proud of) would say this... "You'll never walk alone". today would be the day i have to do it. To peddle my own boat, to cook my own cake, to dig my own grave (erm where did that come from??? haha), to... u get what i mean ya? haha

haha... my solo quiz got some things wrong... guys the runway length is 5354ft... hope you're not the few who've heard the r/w length is 5034ft... got introduced to RAMS and the A/C book. woah a lot of new admin work i have to do now...

today my landings were pretty so-so only... i was totally disgraced at them.... though it might sound like an excuse... which it actually is... is because there was headwind (wind coming from the front) at 14-16knots. how strong is that? hmmm.... well if you were out today and felt that it was pretty breezy... times that by about 1.5 to 2. for those yfc students, try standing behind our club a/c which its at 1200rpm... thats about how strong it was. amazing how a 1ton (perhaps?) plane can get tossed around like that.

the good news is, i am clear to do first solo. thats for sure... ^_^
