Dec 27 2003... a date which i will remember for quite awhile...

why? cause today is do or die day. whether i will get kicked out of YFC or go to PPL. the stakes are that high.

yup today is also my first solo date. do or die.... i'm rather excited... and feel prepared since i do everything as if siva (my instructor) wasn't there. except for the landings of course. ^_^

so.... yahz... did my training today as per normal... winds were ok lor... headwind at 6knots. nothing too strong. but it was surely very packed today manz... especially over Seletar... there were a total of 5 YFC a/c flying over Seletar. at times there were 2, at times there were 4. never hit 5 though...

landings as usual were slightly to the right.... gotta get that right soon... ^_^ whoops... landings are getting pretty good nowz... those soft landings i get once in a while. but the acceptable landings are coming along...

so suddenly Siva tells me... "OK downwind fullstop" basically meaning to land the a/c. i'm like... suddenly feeling uneasy.... so i landed and taxyed to the control tower.... and suddenly... i was all alone in the plane... no good luck or anything... i was like.... totally shockeed.... just like that.... a whole plane is left to me to fly.... i tried to do my checks.... a bit shaky at first.... haha..... maybe a bit kia.... taxying no problem... then when i taxyed to the holding position.... could see so many aircrafts coming in for a landing.... about 3... so i just waited and watched them come in... then suddenly i heard from the tower addressing to the 2 solo flights "Go-Around to facilitate first solo flight" i was like huh??? everyone was giving way to me???? wow.... then i got a bit kia again... haha....

taxyed to the point and took off.... lol taking off was really easy.... the control column was very light and easy to control... guess having 80kg off the aircraft helps a lot... then when i'm taking off i see an aircraft on my left... but there was supposed to be a second aircraft.... which i couldn't find.... then suddenly i heard an aircraft calling for "Extending upwind" basically that is where i was flying at.... i was like shit manz.... where is the aircraft.... so i quickly turned away to continue my flight. wah the aircraft feels really light manz... haha... oki final..... the landing... woah i was super high manz... dunno what happened... but the winds were crazy manz.... though light winds... but it was gusting and stopping and gusting.... landing was slightly off centre line.... again..... -_-'' but come to think about it... my first solo flight was over in 5mins? yahz.... at 9.27am, a bright and hazy morning... CHUA BS flew his first solo... wow...

then in the OPs room... i was rather worried about what would happen.... then upon debriefing... SIVA said the best 6 words i've heard this year... "i'll put you in for PPL" i was just blown away manz... weeks of sleepless nights has come to an end.... the 3 letters P P L are now a reality.... and i gotta renew my membership... -_-'' haha.... YIPEE!!!!! oh ya.... after that... Siva said... hurry up go get a pail of water and wait for me outside.... uh oh...... Jordon, PPL senior, tagged along..... hoping to get mud on me too... ^_^'' luckily Siva was hungry and quickly poured water over me..... cold... and refreshing!!! then he presented to me my "First Solo" wings. after that i had lots of admin stuff to prepare for.... trust me... details i no need to tell ya? exceppt for the medical examination on monday...

yup... PPL... a dream come true? luck? or just plain reality... i kinda feel that somehow it wasn't just Siva who gave me the chance to enter PPL... somehow i think.. my friends, my great friends are standing behind me and encouraging me as i fly along.

yup... i also hear that if i do well in my medical examination.... i will be able to fly on the CT/4E... heard of it? u sure? oki u know about the Piper Warrior II... YFC's original aircraft? well the CT/4E is their new acrobatic aircraft... dun mistake the Piper to be one too. simple phyiscs... the Piper uses a control column, like those u find in a commercial aircraft... the CT/4E uses a joystick... yup those found on a fighter aircraft. the CT/4E is almost twice as powerful as the Piper. and it really looks real grand when parked next to the Pipers.

now... God has kept his end of the promise... i shall keep mine.... hear now my fellow readers... it is today that i become a PPL student, that i shall QUIT the CCA i have devoted my time to and has most certainly wasted... Entrepreneurship Society. hear now my friends who enter CJC next year... do not join this society... unless you are a slacker.....
